Absolutely. Private keys are stored in the iOS / macOS Keychain and never leave your device. We collect zero data — no telemetry, no analytics on your sessions.
Which key types are supported?
RSA, ED25519, P256 ECDSA, and OpenSSH-format encrypted private keys. Password authentication and keyboard-interactive (2FA) are also supported.
How does cross-device sync work?
NaviTerm uses CloudKit (iCloud) — your data syncs end-to-end through your Apple ID. No NaviTerm account, no NaviTerm servers. Toggle it off any time in Settings.
Will background SSH drain my battery?
We use iOS background tasks and BGProcessingTask APIs efficiently. Idle SSH sessions consume negligible power, comparable to a music app paused in the background.
Can I import my hosts from Termius?
Yes — Termius export-to-JSON and OpenSSH config import are both supported. Most users finish migration in under 5 minutes.
Does the AI Copilot cost extra?
No. NaviTerm itself doesn't charge for AI. You just plug in your own OpenAI / Anthropic / Gemini API key and pay providers directly — typically a few cents per month for normal use.
